You may file a complaint about an offense under the law as a consumer, or through a consumer protection society or the specialized union of consumer societies, and the Public Prosecution alone is competent to investigate, prosecute, and dispose of the complaint (art. 32).
The National Consumer Protection Committee also receives complaints from consumers and societies, examines and investigates them, and files or intervenes in cases concerning consumers' interests (art. 6). When a violation is established, the Committee orders the violator to remove it immediately or within a set period; if the violation may harm the consumer's health or safety, it may suspend the service or seize the goods pending investigation, while informing consumers of the violation (art. 34).
Consumer protection societies can help you file and follow up the complaint and may bring or join cases concerning consumers' interests (art. 8). Any term or agreement that undermines your rights or exempts the supplier from its obligations is void (art. 33).
